Instructor
Brenda Serna has over 30 years of Spanish-speaking, teaching, translating, and bi-cultural experiences. She has a fundamental understanding of Castellano Spanish with a Mexican flair. Brenda has a unique ability to teach Spanish from the perspective of a beginner/intermediate student while keeping the goal of being able to communicate immediately and fluently in the future. Brenda will offer weekly office hours to support students who need the extra time to explore Spanish. Additional tutoring services with Brenda Serna (separate from this course) will be made available. Brenda has a BS in General Biology degree (with a minor in Spanish), has studied medicine in Mexico, and has extensive experience working with the Latino population in the United States.
