One-on-One Tutoring: Personalized sessions via Zoom where learners receive individual attention to master languages at their pace.
Small Group Sessions: Interactive group learning for a supportive community environment, enhancing language skills through collaboration.
Conversation Practice: Dedicated sessions focused solely on conversational skills, helping learners gain confidence and fluency in real-life language scenarios.
Live Cultural Explorations: Native Spanish Speakers will invite students to explore diverse cultural topics (e.g., a walking tour of a Guatemalan zoo, a cooking demonstration of Venezuelan Arepas, a live acoustic guitar concert from Spain, a dance demonstration from Peru…etc.) in real time using multi-media slides, live demonstrations, and interaction.
Online Courses: We offer Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 in a flex-paced asynchrounous online course with integrated live conversation practice with native speakers and live cultural explorations.
Our Founder:
Lux Mundi Learning was founded by Dr. Crystal Marull, a seasoned educator with over 25 years of experience in education. Dr. Marull holds degrees including a BS in Communication, Masters in Education, and dual Masters and PhD in Spanish with a focus on Bilingualism and Second Language Acquisition. She has been serving as the Coordinator of the Online Spanish Program at the University of Florida since 2017.
During her tenure at UF, Dr. Marull has designed, implemented, and taught award-winning online courses at both beginner and intermediate levels, setting the standard for online language education. Her pioneering work resulted in the creation of the Three Pillar Model (Marull and Kumar, 2020). This model has been licensed to Lux Mundi Learning to enhance our educational offerings.
The Three Pillar Model has influenced educational approaches at numerous large institutions, including Texas Tech University and Mississippi State University. However, the adoption of this model by these institutions does not imply any formal partnership or endorsement of Lux Mundi Learning.
